　　莱克斯（布丽特妮·罗伯森 Brittany Robertson 饰）一直都过着颠沛流离的生活，辗转于不同的寄宿家庭，这个年仅15岁的女孩看透了人情冷暖。16岁生日这天，莱克斯决定，要摆脱一切束缚，独立生活。怀抱着这样的信念，莱克斯找到了自己的生父贝茨（克里斯托弗·普拉哈 Kristoffer Polaha 饰）——一个经营着落魄小酒馆，成日和损友们厮混在一起的中年男人。

 Starring and executive produced by Tom Holland, “The Crowded Room” is a gripping, 10-episode limited series that stars Holland as Danny Sullivan, a man who is arrested following his involvement in a shooting in New York City in 1979.  A captivating thriller told through a series of interviews with curious interrogator Rya Goodwin (Amanda Seyfried), Danny’s life story unfolds, revealing elements of the mysterious past that shaped him, and the twists and turns that will lead him to a life-altering revelation. Hailing from Academy Award winner Akiva Goldsman, “The Crowded Room" is a coproduction between Apple Studios and New Regency.

　　A dedicated investigator, she is being forced into early retirement and takes on a final cold case centered on a young Russian asylum seeker who died mysteriously one year prior.

　　Witness protection is often glamorised as keeping innocent witnesses safe from harm but the truth is darker, murkier, and far more complex. Many protected people are themselves criminals. 　　With a deft narrative that engages from the outset, Kris Mrksa creates suspenseful twists and with every hairpin turn perfectly navigates the story to ensure the audience won’t know who to believe and who is telling the truth.
