　　改编自阮清越的普利策获奖同名小说，是一部间谍惊悚兼跨文化讽刺类型的剧集。讲述了一名法越混血的越共间谍在越战最后几天里的斗争，以及他作为难民在洛杉矶的新生活，在那里他了解到自己的间谍生涯并没有结束。

　　纽约意大利黑帮头目弗兰克（Steven Van Zandt饰）因与新的家族老大不和，转做FBI的证人。在证人保护计划在移民到了挪威小镇利勒哈默尔（Lilyhammer，1994年冬奥会举办地）。此地风景秀美，堪称人间天堂。不过很快，富有"生意头脑"的弗兰克就重操旧业，干起 了黑帮的老买卖
