 Lifetime剧《真实之虚 UnREAL》虽然有好评价，不过收视上一直低迷（第三季大部份集连0.1的收视都没有），而电视台决定把已续订的10集第四季卖给拥有其在线点播权的Hulu，令《真实之虚》变成了Hulu的剧集。 过去《真实之虚》第四季基本内定是最终季，不过现转卖给Hulu下倒是可能有转机。

 The new season returns to Larvik on a seemingly idyllic summer evening at the Greenwood family. The family receives a ransom demand and cryptic messages from the kidnapper, and when family secrets are revealed, Wisting suspects that there may be a personal motive behind the disappearance. There is also enormous international pressure on Wisting and the team to solve the murder and find the boy before it is too late.

In Episode 6, A Secret Is Revealed, the detective exposes and destroys the man who secretively had taken the place of octopus' head - but crime will not stop because the criminal's son escapes with enough power to restart it all.
